Wellbeing
The PHSE curriculum at Babington Academy is called Wellbeing. It aims to develop students in becoming well-rounded and aware citizens who are equipped to cope with the challenges and changes in our modern society. We aim to provide our students with a curriculum for life. The Wellbeing curriculum forms part of Babington’s Personal Development programme and includes work to improve students’ health and emotional wellbeing. PSHE and SRE develop students’ skills to manage relationships and be economically active and intend to give students the skills necessary to keep them safe, including keeping them safe in an ever-changing virtual world. In the programme we also promote students’ health and wellbeing, including personal health, mental health and healthy living. The Wellbeing curriculum is delivered in Wellbeing lessons, assemblies and across the curriculum in a variety of subjects, including Science and English. The Wellbeing curriculum develops important understanding and appreciation of the British Values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty and respect and tolerance.
Our RSE Policy can be found on our Policies page.
